At EPaD, we are dedicated to advancing the rights and dignity of sex workers in Malawi. We believe that sex work is formal work, and we strive to create an environment where sex workers are respected, protected, and empowered. Our efforts focus on advocacy, community support, and providing referrals to essential health services.
A society where sex work is legally recognized as formal work, and sex workers have access to equal rights, healthcare, and protection from violence and discrimination.
To advocate for the formal recognition of sex work, provide comprehensive referrals to health services, and empower sex workers to live dignified and healthy lives.
Equality for People and Dignity (EPaD) is a grassroots organization based in Lilongwe, Malawi, dedicated to supporting sex workers, particularly adolescent girls and young women (AGYW). Founded with the belief that sex work is a legitimate profession, EPaD works to ensure that sex workers are treated with respect and have access to the same rights and services as other workers. Our approach is community-led, focusing on the needs and voices of sex workers.
EPaD was founded in response to the challenges faced by sex workers in Malawi, particularly the lack of legal recognition and access to healthcare services. Since our inception, we have worked tirelessly to advocate for sex workers' rights and provide vital services that address their unique needs.
We uphold the dignity of all individuals, recognizing their worth regardless of their profession.
We fight for equal rights and opportunities for sex workers, ensuring they are treated with the same respect as other workers.
We empower sex workers to take control of their health, rights, and futures through education, support, and advocacy.
